    Roslyn grew up on stories of places which no longer exist. As a first generation American she uses her photography to try to understand and navigate the world around her. She photographs the personal and intimate notes of life and friendship. She uses her photography as the shadow of memory.
    
    She graduated from University of Illinois of Chicago with a BFA, majoring in sculpture. While there she began using photography in a lot of her work. After graduation she found herself working for a medical diagnostic manufacturer. She continued taking photographs, during business trips or riding her bike through the streets of chicago. After fifteen years in hemostasis and three patents she decided it was time to return to art full time. She resigned in 2010, taught at Richard Stromberg’s Chicago school of photography, and worked on a community project with Bickerdike and Architreasures in Chicago. She is now pursuing her masters in photography at CALarts.
