Born and raised in Singapore, Abigail Han grew up in an environment where there was always an integration of Eastern and Western values. The work she makes creates a space for the negotiation between Eastern and Western cultural and artistic values. The intersection between the mediums of film and photography are the pivot of her practice and her work finds its momentum in the transgressive exchange between the static and the moving image. She is currently pursuing her MFA in Photography & Media at CalArts.
