Lindsey Schulz graduated from Otis College of Art and Design in 2011, and will receive her MFA from California Institute of the Arts in 2015. Her work places importance on the disjunction and unreliability of memory. She regularly searches for artifacts as a way of collecting and preserving personal histories which create an overwhelming sense of nostalgia within the work, and produces a state of both anxiety and pleasure. She recently has had solo shows the Torrance Art Museum, CalArts, and the Charles M. Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa.
