My work instigates the tension between the self and the other. During the process of reading the work, the audience will play, as a ping-pong game, with the mental and physical objects in the space. A shot reverse shot relationship between what is reflected on the other, what is a reflection on the self and, vice-versa.

“Everyone stopped talking when one albino started speaking.
The mountain of tourists was reflected in one of the thousand lakes among the dunes of Lençóis Island in Brazil. The lakes consumed the mystical tourism that feeds those who live in the island, from the ghost of the Portuguese king who disappeared in the battle of Alcácer Quibir, up to the giant snake that lives under the island.
All these myths and legends have been told and projected onto the look of those who were looking at the eyes that looked.
After the guided tour, the group of gringos disappeared over the warm dunes towards the King Sebastian Memorial which was built by people of the island. There they produced and sold crafts. Through a window, visitors were able to see the production space of the objects sold in the basic Memorial store.
They still used rudimentary looms to manufacture pareos (beach fabrics). A series of punched cards hung on bamboo. By translating through a code the report of the myths into punched cards, they
reproduced the invisible visions in fabrics.”
